La band nasce nell'Aprile 1999.

L'embrione dei CATHOUSE è una formazione a tre elementi di hard rock americano, della quale resta a tutt'oggi solo il chitarrista RIKKI, membro storico della band. Nel settembre 1999 viene reclutato il bassista GENE, e dopo numerose audizioni entra nella band anche il talentuoso MARK BLUESMAN alla chitarra solista, per completare l'organico a 5 elementi.

I CATHOUSE iniziano a dare le prime esibizioni dal vivo nell'anno successivo, e con esse arrivano i cambi di formazione. La band infatti trova la sua stabilita' definitiva solo con l'ingresso di DD CAT alla voce nel maggio 2001 e di SEXY RAKE nell'estate 2002, a completare quella che è la formazione attuale.

La band, dall'inizio della sua attività, ha effettuato circa 80 concerti. Le sue esibizioni si basano su un repertorio tipicamente anni '80 della scena street-glam californiana, caratterizzata da un corposo impatto chitarristico ma dal sound decisamente orecchiabile anche per i non amanti del genere. Nel corso del 2005 la band cambia in parte la sua direzione musicale, e si muove su sonorità maggiormente in linea con lo street-rock moderno, sulla falsariga di gruppi come Velvet Revolver e Brides of Destruction, pur mantenendo bands come i Guns'n'Roses come punto di riferimento.
I CATHOUSE possono vantare tra le loro esperienze anche alcune esibizioni di rilievo, come la data di spalla ai losangelini FASTER PUSSYCAT e ai BANG TANGO a Milano. Inoltre, i CATHOUSE hanno preso parte ad alcuni festival, come il "GLAM ATTAKK" a Torino (manifestazione a carattere nazionale con band di chiusura straniera), che ha visto come headliner gli americani SHAMELESS. Ed ancora, la band ha partecipato al "GLAM SHOT FESTIVAL", manifestazione bolognese svoltasi all'Arena Parco Nord con alcune tra le migliori band del panorama nazionale del genere.

Dopo quattro anni di intensa attività, i CATHOUSE registrano nel 2004 il loro primo EP intitolato "In Pussy We Trust" presso gli studi "Suonovivo" di Bergamo. Questo prima incisione sintetizza il primi due anni di lavoro della band con la formazione a cinque elementi, e presenta alcuni tra i brani composti nel periodo 2002-2004. L'EP viene presentato nel dicembre 2004.

Nel marzo 2005 i CATHOUSE vengono contattati dall'etichetta statunitense Perris Records, ed entrano a fare parte della compilation "Hollywood Hairspray IV" (distribuita su scala mondiale) con il loro brano "Rock is all you need".
La medesima etichetta, nell'autunno del 2005, decide di inserire "In Pussy We Trust" nel proprio catalogo vendite, e la band ottiene così la distribuzione dell'EP in tutto il mondo.

Nel corso del 2006, l'EP ha ottenuto la promozione radiofonica in Francia, Inghilterra, Stati Uniti, Spagna, Portogallo, Argentina e Grecia, oltre che in Italia.

The band was born in April 1999.

The heart of CATHOUSE is a formation of three American hard rock elements, of which today only the guitar-player RIKKI, the historical member of the band, remains.
In September 1999 the bass guitar player GENE was engaged and after several auditions, also the talented MARK BLUESMAN joined the band as soloist at the guitar to complete the group with 5 elements.

The CATHOUSE band started live performing the following year. With the first performances the first changes in the group also began. The band found, infact, its definitive stability only with the début of DD CAT - as vocalist in May 2001 - and SEXY RAKE in Summer 2002, to complete the current formation.

Since it started performing, the band has given about 80 concerts. Its performances are based on a typical 80's Californian street-glam repertory, characterized by a strong guitar impact and by a sound that can be easily remembered also by the people who do not like this kind of music.
During 2005 the band changes its musical direction towards a sound that is more closed to the modern street-rock - like Velvet Revolver and Brides of Destruction - always keeping Guns 'n Roses as their point of reference.
The CATHOUSE can boast among their experiences some important performances as well: they supported both the FASTER PUSSYCAT (from L.A.) and the BANGO TANGO (from Sweden) in Milan. Furthermore the CATHOUSE took part in some festivals, like the "GLAM ATTAKK" in Turin (an Italian national show), of which the American SHAMELESS were the headliners. Then the band participated at the "GLAM SHOT FESTIVAL" in Bologna (at the Parco Nord Arena), were some of the best Italian bands of this kind of music performed as well.

After 4 years of intense activity, in July 2004, the CATHOUSE recorded and mixed their first EP titled "IN PUSSY WE TRUST", in only 8 days at the record studios "Suonovivo" in Bergamo. This first recording summarizes the first 2 years of the band with the 5-element formation and presents some of the songs that were written in the period 2002-2004. The EP was presented in December 2004.

On march 2005 the CATHOUSE were contacted by the American label "Perris Records"
thus joining "Hollywood Hairspray IV" compilation with their song "Rock is all you need".
The same label decided to add "In Pussy We Trust" in its catalogue so that
the band achieved worldwide distribution.

So far "In Pussy We Trust" has been broadcast in France, UK, United States,
Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Greece and of course Italy.
